Description

Have A Word podcast’s Dan Nightingale (“Exciting and imaginative” Edinburgh Evening News ‘Genuinely hilarious’ Chortle) and Glenn Wool (“Why aren’t you in a queue somewhere buying a ticket?” Scotsman “Absolutely hilarious” Independent) preview their brand new shows at Off The Rails Comedy Club Saddleworth in June 2026 Scroll down for comedians details.

Acts subject to change. Fully seated. 18+ Proper sweary, swearing. We want everyone to have a great night so please pop your phone on silent and don’t chat whilst the show is in progress. Thanks! Sorry, but we can only reallocate or refund if the show is cancelled.

What do we mean by ‘Work In Progress’? These shows aren’t the finished product. The comedians will be fine tuning them before they take them out on tour. You may see them occasionally referring to notes and there may well be the odd gag that doesn’t make the final edit. The advantage for our customers is you get two shows (roughly 50 to 60 minutes each) for less thatn it would cost you to see one. You also get to hear the brand new gags and routines long before anyone else.

Dan Nightingale – Stands Up (Work In Progress) Another brilliant hour of stand-up from the host of the massive Have A Word Podcast. Getting ready for his Autumn Tour, Dan combines story telling and observations with his usual high energy mayhem.

‘Funny as hell’ Leicester Mercury ‘Enthusiastically charming albeit self-deprecating storyteller’ ★★★★★ Three Weeks

“It is his powers of observation that make him so entertaining. Outrageously funny! Keeping Up With NZ
“Exciting and imaginative” Edinburgh Evening News ‘Genuinely hilarious’ Chortle

Glenn Wool – Luv(SIC) (Work In Progress) is the latest offering from Vancouver’s Glenn Wool‘ Glenn reached these shores in the mid-Nineties and, much to the disdain of lesser comedians, it looks like he’s here to stay. When not at home in his adopted Essex, Wool consistently sells out shows at the world’s biggest comedy festivals and has appeared on numerous TV shows. Topical, engaging, opinionated but never preachy and, of course, downright hysterically funny, Glenn is a surefire hit in front of any audience.
