From the outskirts of Toronto, Canada, David Celia is an innovative singer/songwriter and astonishing guitar player, known for his spontaneously driven live performances. He tours frequently across Canada and Europe (Glastonbury Festival x7) and is quoted as "One of Toronto's best guitar players” by CBC Radio. David's music has consistently
appeared on the CBC, BBC and WNYC in New York. Even the late Gordon Lightfoot was
a fan.
David has performed live on BBC2’s highly regarded Bob Harris national radio show several times.

David's reputation as a guitarist has led him to play with many local Canadian artists in their bands, including legendary Alt-Country/folk singers Ian & Sylvia Tyson and acts diverse as Icelandic alt/pop star Emiliana Torrini. He's supported shows for Elvis Costello, Badly Drawn Boy, Fairport Convention, Ron Sexsmith, Martha Wainwright, Kiefer Sutherland + more. He’s also had the pleasure of meeting and playing music with the late great Pete Seeger. Some career Highlights include mega jam with Cristophe Lindemann of Kadavar at Duna Jam, Performing at Trafalgar Square, London for Canada Day (2025) and many more.
His latest single is entitled “Wake Up Again” came out recently and he’s currently in the process of recording the next album at a studio in Wales (Penylan) and Toronto
(Revolution).
David will be joined by his two sons Marcus and Lucas on Bass and second Guitar for their next tour this spring throughout Europe/UK, including shows at England’s Small World & Great Escape festivals. Together, they sing catchy, “Feel good but think” Canadiana style songs with 3-part Beatlesque/Byrds style harmonies plus open musical improvisations.

The iconic and legendary Water Rats has re-opened under new ownership and new management.
The venue has a prestigious history including Bob Dylan's first UK gig in 1962, The Pogues first gig in 1982 and Oasis' first London gig in 1994, along with a roll call of other household names throughout the years from Katy Perry to The Courteeners to Ra Ra Riot.
The Water Rats has undergone a top to bottom refurbishment.
There is a brand new high end D&B PA system, large stage and proper stage lighting rig.
Full Backline is provided if required: drum kit (minus breakables), bass amp (Hartke stack), 2 x guitar amps (Marshall stack and Fender combo).
The Water Rats is superbly located in what is the increasingly vibey music centre of King's Cross with unmatched transport links for London and beyond.
The venue also now offers great food from its brand new kitchen and a wide selection of drinks.
