TED KEY &the VIPS London 0 HULL 40
Genre : Music - General
Original founding member of The Housemartins,, TED KEY returns to the Sun Inn with his band The VIPs to perform music inspired by the era that produced London 0 Hull 4 - one of the most important debut albums of the UK indie movement.
Released in June 1986 on Go! Discs, London 0 Hull 4 delivered Happy Hour, Flag Day, Think for a Minute and Sheep, helping define British indie pop with jangly guitars, sharp songwriting and social bite.
This is not a tribute — this is one of the musicians who helped build the band from the ground up, performing those songs up close marking 41 years since The Housemartins signed their record deal.
They will perform the debut album in its entirety together with a few deeper cuts and some
surprises along the way.
