LONDON - are a four piece punk band formed in the first wave of British Punk Rock in 1976. Simon Le Bon said they were the first band he ever saw, Paul Simonon of The Clash remembered them as “a great live band with good songs”, and Simon Napier-Bell described them as “the band that blew my bloody ears off!” They toured extensively throughout 1977, including a major UK tour with The Stranglers (the Rattus Norvegicus tour.) Their final gig was at the Marquee Club in Wardour Street on the 8th December 1977. The band broke up shortly afterwards and MCA released their album 'Animal Games' in early 1978. Following the split, Drummer Jon Moss first joined The Damned and then formed Culture Club with Boy George. Riff Regan released solo records on MCA and Epic before becoming a comedy writer under his real name of Miles Tredinnick; Steve Voice formed a new band The Original Vampires and Dave Wight following stints in Metro and Holly and the Italians. And now Miles and Steve are back with this latest incarnation of London…..and still blowing peoples ears off!

Description
For decades, The Fighting Cocks has served as a vital cultural artery in Kingston upon Thames, establishing itself as a cornerstone of the London live circuit. Its walls hold a rich musical heritage, dating back to the 1930s, consistently drawing both local patrons and those from further afield seeking authentic live entertainment.
Inside, the atmosphere is distinctly charged, with the low hum of conversation often punctuated by the thrum of a bass guitar or the ripple of laughter. The decor, a blend of red leather and motorcycle blacks, creates a bold, unpretentious setting, while the scent of hops and aged wood hangs subtly in the air.
The bar offers a considered selection of draft and bottled beers, alongside expertly mixed cocktails and traditional real ales. Practicality is also addressed, with disabled access available throughout the venue, including the dedicated performance space.
Throughout the week, the venue hosts a diverse programme of events. Audiences can expect a steady stream of live music spanning various genres, from rock and punk to folk and alternative, alongside acclaimed comedy nights that regularly feature both emerging talents and established names.
