Description

Thornton Hough Comedy Club returns with another rib-tickling line-up on Friday, March 12 with food available on the night too.
Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar’s venture into comedy have proved a runaway success since they were launched in 2024 by DBN Events headed up by Dean Boodaghians-Nolan.

Headlining our March 12 night is the amazing OLIVER BOWLER.
Hailing from the mean cobbles of Bolton, Oliver Bowler is hot comedy property - a talented rising star of the UK comedy scene.
A natural born storyteller, Oliver is one of the most exciting stand-ups to hit the circuit in recent years and is marked as one to watch after winning over audiences across the UK.
Oliver mixes hilarious physicality, dry wit and cheeky charm to his relatable experiences through his well-crafted jokes. Watch this space!
“I’ve been telling everyone, the lads got it!” - Scott Bennett
“A frighteningly good comedian” - Paul Sinha
“He tore the place apart!” - Jamie Hutchinson
“It's been a while since I haven't wanted to follow someone… I would trust him with any audience” - Stephen Bailey
The opening act is the magnificent MAXINE WADE.
A regular on stages across the country, Maxine’s comedy is warm, whip-smart, and just the right amount of unhinged.
Renowned for her leopard print outfits, addictive laugh and her loveable comedy. Her stage presence and comedic delivery is always well received and remembered by audiences.
A finalist in numerous national competitions and fast becoming a favourite with live audiences, Maxine Wade is one to watch. BBC New Comedy Award Regional Finalist and Best In Class alumni.
'Full of vim and energy' - Chortle
Also on the bill is funny onion ALEX METTRICK, a rising star on the UK circuit, Alex is a remarkable stand-up comedian from Huddersfield. With his dour outlook and droll delivery, he's been wowing audiences with ludicrous tales of his tragic life, often aided by senseless props which have little bearing on the joke at hand.
The show will be hosted by quick-fire gag merchant BEN TURNER, a World One Liner Championship and Comedy Cellar Yorkshire New Act of the Year finalist.

"Razor wit. Funny enough to text your ex about.”' - Manchester Comedy Club
'Performs with the intensity of a dancing crab' - Noel James
‘The kind of comic you’ll be quoting on the way home’- The Guide

Doors 6.30pm. Comedy 8pm.Food will be available on the night. Our nights tend to sell out so early booking is recommended.
