Description

We close HHMF26 with Southwark Sinfonietta on Sunday 18th from 6pm. This event is a break from previous Sinfonietta Festival concerts which have always featured 3 or 4 larger works. This time the Sinfonietta brings an interactive programme of 7 shorter classical compositions for soloists and for orchestra, an event designed with a more relaxed approach to audience movement, noise, and intervals.

The planned programme at this time includes 🎻🎺🎷

* Greenwood – The Acrobat (solo trombone)
* Debussy – Petite Suite
* Vaughan Williams – The Wasps: March Past of the Kitchen Utensils
* Mozart – Die Entführung aus dem Serail, K.384: Overture
* Mendelssohn – The Hebrides, Op.26 (Fingal’s Cave)
* Saint-Saëns – Introduction & Rondo capriccioso, Op.28 (solo violin)
* Monti – Czardas (Csárdás) (solo violin)
