Celebrating the life of the late great DJ John Peel (30th August 1939-25th October 2004).
The Piranhas, now known as Piranhas Four, is the re-formed ska-punk Brighton band of Tom Hark fame. They recorded four sessions for Peelie, who made a pilgrimage to witness their influential Sunday night gigs at The Alhambra.
Cult Figures support. Expect a set of oldies including 1979 Peel fave Zip Nolan and songs from their great new LP The 166 Ploughs a Lonely Furrow.
Simon&thePope are a punk funk drum n bass duo. Simon Charterton drummed for The Higsons who recorded several Peel sessions.
