Described as 'one of the U.K's best kept musical secrets and one not to miss!', Dan Webster plays an accessible mix of Folk/Americana and has been building loyal fanbase ever since breakthrough album Diamond Land featured on the likes of Hollyoaks and BBC R1&2. "Achingly lovely, like sun breaking on a rain swept highway" (RnR). According to Americana UK "He is the missing link, the joining point, where folk fuses with country as good as you'll hear on any record out of Austin or Nashville - beautiful he is Anglicana".

Accompanying Dan is violinist and composer Emily Lawler. Emily is influenced by Eastern European Folk, Latin American and Experimental music and shares Dan's passion for Folk, Americana and Country. Her orchestral composition Elemental Soundscapes was recently performed by York's Guildhall Orchestra. and an 'An insightful lyricist with a great voice' Acoustic Magazine.

By day our Cafe serves delicious home-cooked food, Fairly Traded coffee & tea and homemade cakes & pastries. All with a nod to local and ethical sourcing. We cater for Vegetarians, Vegans and dietary issues, just ask if you need anything not catered for on our menus. We also have a Delicatessen serving our own home-cooked food daily.

On Sunday to Thursday evenings we host the best acoustic music in the City, specialising in Folk, Roots and Americana.

On Friday and Saturday evenings the Cafe is available for private functions, weddings and parties, please call or email for more details.
