Description

In the five years since releasing the critically acclaimed Joyland, Robert Alfons wrote and recorded songs in a farmhouse in southern Ontario and in Los Angeles - where he has relocated - and worked with an all-star cast of collaborators.

New album, The Destroyer, is comprised of eight songs and is divided into two parts. Ahead of his memorable sold out show at The Steel Yard earlier this year, TR/ST shared part one in April, displaying highlights of industrial and dream pop influences as well as Alfons' knack for shimmering sounds and powerful vocals.

The second part, ready to be released in November, reveals a more mellow, intimate side of the artist. However TR/ST 's trademark sound, which has been lauded in outlets including Pitchfork, FADER and NME, is presented throughout.
