Heaven's Gate are proud to present for the music loving community of Liverpool, Merseyside & the NW, two of the finest alt-country bands in the UK, The Hiding Magpies and Red Moon Joe.

The Hiding Magpies are one of the UK's up and coming original Americana Rock bands. The band are celebrating the release of their debut album with a UK tour in October 2019 and are looking forward to sharing new material from their second upcoming album, 'Searching For Gold'. The songwriting for the first album was heavily influenced by personal experiences of love, loss, heartbreak and redemption, with a slight nod to songwriters such as Tom Petty, Steve Earle and Ryan Adams. The Hiding Magpies are a must-see band for Americana & Country Rock fans around the UK.

Since reforming for a second bite of the cherry, Red Moon Joe have graced the stage for Heaven's Gate a couple of times and are a sure fit hit with our audiences. Led by Mark Wilkinson, long considered to be one of the UK's finest country pickers, the band first aired their own particular brand of alt-country back in 1985, at a time when US bands such as The Long Riders, Jason & The Scorchers, The Beat Farmers and Green On Red were revitalising roots rock with one foot firmly in country music and the other kicking out with a boot loaded with punk energy and attitude. The same music that inspired Red Moon Joe would also later inspired the likes of Uncle Tupelo, Whiskeytown and The Bottle Rockets.
