Nadine Khouri is a Beirut-born singer-songwriter currently based in London. Influenced by dream-pop, film soundtracks and spoken-word, her sound has been described as a music born of perennial outsider-status. Her debut album 'The Salted Air' was recorded live with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, This is the Kit) in his hometown of Bristol. A haunting, atmospheric collection of poetic meditations delivered in her warm singular voice, the album earned plaudits from the likes of MOJO, Q, and was selected as one of Rough Trade's Albums of the Year. In the past year, Khouri has toured the UK and Europe and shared the stage with Low, Josh T. Pearson, Aldous Harding, and many others. She is currently working on her second full-length album. Khouri will be previewing songs old and new at the Slaughtered Lamb, accompanied by musician friends.

Falling in deep love with 70s folk-trance and ambient music, Cara Sebastian's new songs have formed a theme of their own, being recorded as and when they are made as opposed to setting aside time to write or record. Giving these songs simplicity, space, and a heartfelt spontaneity. Nods to Cat Power, Devon Sproule and PJ Harvey chime distantly, but more present is the lo-fi looseness influenced by Brian Eno, Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, and Linda Perhacs. Sebastian says I love the space they leave for the music to mingle with the person listening.
Cara is also interested in songs as incantations - debut Single 'Hot Flower' Directed by Phil Pieters Smith is the first track from the upcoming collection of songs entitled Cosmic Salt. The song is a mood, and the story of a shadow. Instead of getting rid of this unruly side, learning to dance and move with it and finding the power in balance of light and dark.
