Comfy & Acoustic, our showcase of the UK's best folk, acoustic, Americana and singer-songwriters, every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month
Jellyman's Daughter
Scottish duo The Jellyman's Daughter lands squarely in the middle of an intriguing crossroads between bluegrass, post-rock, folk and soul. Mixing their unique vocal harmonies with wild and visceral cello, driving guitar and sweet mandolin, Emily and Graham write their songs together with a focus on doing something new.
In 2018 The Jellyman's Daughter released their new album, 'Dead Reckoning'. It represents a marked step forward in maturity, depth and scope for the duo, achieving 5 stars in multiple publications and inclusion in Popmatters' 'The 20 Best Folk Albums of 2018'.
After touring extensively across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada in 2018/19, and with a tour of Australia in the works for the end of 2019, The Jellyman's Daughter are looking forward to continuing to share their music with new fans and old around the world.
Roswell
Roswell is an award-winning Americana/ Folk/ Indie duo featuring singer-songwriters Zoë Wren and Jasmine Watkiss. Based between Cambridgeshire and London,
Roswell formed in December 2017 after what can only be described as "musical love at first sight" at an open mic night in Ely, Cambridgeshire. They have recently played Wimborne Folk Festival and Home Farm Festival, and won Purbeck Valley Folk Festival's emerging
artist competition Purbeck Rising 2018.
Katie Mac
Katie Mac is a singer-songwriter from Huyton, Liverpool. Taking influence from Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell and Regina Spektor, she has also been compared to the likes of Patti Smith, PJ Harvey and Kate Bush. Katie took her music to the next level by adding five band members to her solo act, and self-organising two full UK tours in 2016/2017. She has found great support off Dave Monks of BBC Introducing in Merseyside, and has been opened up towards a national audience with the help of BBC Radio 6 Music. Katie Mac released her first EP in August 2018, with another released in Summer 2019. Both EP's have been produced by Sam Duckworth of Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly.
