Comfy & Acoustic, our showcase of the UK's best folk, acoustic, Americana and singer-songwriters, every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month

John Blek
Ever prolific, Blek has released 5 albums in the last 5 years. Currently he is preparing to release number 6, his new album Thistle & Thorn due on 1st Feb 2019. 'Salt in the Water' from Blek's current album Catharsis Vol.1, was nominated for Song of the Year at the International Folk Music Awards 2018 at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City. It's been a busy few years and it shows no sign of letting up. Endless tours and recording in Ireland, Europe, UK and USA keep the Irish troubadour busy.

He is a master storyteller and an inspiring live performer. His beautiful fingerstyle guitar and joyous vocal weave a tapestry that is as poignant as it is skilful. He is a true artist.

Burning Salt
Burning Salt are Hannah Hull (Voice/Piano/Guitar) and John Parker (Double Bass). Poetic, raw and alive, Burning Salt's sound draws on folk, country and blues. A genre-bending approach in the vein of PJ Harvey, Nick Cave and Tom Waits.
Hull is known for her startlingly honest songs and distinctive low-register voice. Fans have described her unusual vocal style as scraped out of an ashtray somewhere in the early 90s, and Friday night meets Sunday morning"

Charlie Limm
Charlie Limm, is a Musician, Actor and Composer, originally from Somerset. She brings haunting vocals, guitar and flute to the mix, largely influenced by the likes of Sandy Denny, Fleetwood Mac and Joni Mitchell, who she is often, to her great joy, likened to.

Stage times:
Charlie Limm 8pm
Burning Salt 8.50pm
John Blek 9.40pm
