Hattie Briggs is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist influenced by Joni Mitchell, Foy Vance, Goldfrapp and Jeff Buckley. Hattie writes and sings straight from the heart, bringing together pop, folk and electronic influences, which she delivers with honesty and intent.
Since making the decision to drop out of a Russian degree in her second year at Oxford University, Hattie has released several EPs, two critically acclaimed albums, played live and been interviewed on national television (BBC Breakfast), had airplay on BBC Radios 1, 2, and 6 Music, and embarked on tours around the UK, the Netherlands and the U.S. Indeed, she has clocked up playing at over 500 gigs since 2014. In October 2018 a chance encounter whist busking at Paddington station resulted in a 21 show tour opening for platinum-selling singer, Alfie Boe. The finale of the tour was at the Royal Albert Hall at which she and her band received a standing ovation. Alfie said "I found Hattie busking in Paddington station, a beautiful little moment, it was wonderful, a peaceful moment within the chaos of London, a poignant moment that stuck in my mind and so I invited her on tour I want her to go with her music and fly
