Description

MARTIN STEPHENSON has been one of the UK's best-loved singer/songwriters for over 30 years, both as a solo performer and as intermittent leader of his band The Daintees.

He started off as a busker and he still has that instinct and joy for live performance.

The NME said of Martin's song craft that he 'builds bridges between love and hate, cradle and grave, folk and pop, past and present.'

Stephenson has released a succession of critically acclaimed self-produced albums including the 2015 classic 'HAUNTED HIGHWAY'. 2016 saw the special re-recorded release of the Daintees' celebrated 1986 debut 'BOAT TO BOLIVIA' accompanied by a 30th anniversary sold out tour throughout the UK and Ireland.

Always popular on the circuit, Stephenson's 'must see' live performances are an exuberant tour-de-force combining heart-in-your-mouth intimacy with playful humour and warm self-deprecation.
