Hey, do you remember when people were always talking about The Deficit? This was a thing that was so important it meant poor people had to be made poorer, hungry people had to eat miscellaneous donated items and sick people had to wait for hours in hospital corridors. The Deficit. Whatever happened to that? We've not heard about it for ages, so it must be sorted out by now. That's a relief.

Anyway, we're putting on a gig if you'd like to come. It's a festive political cabaret with satirical punk, performance poetry, a politics pub quiz and arcane radish rituals. Plus mince pies.

This is our third annual Xmas Austerity Downer and by chance it lands a week after the election. So, this is your chance to celebrate with shots or commiserate by slipping cyanide into your cider. Happy Christmas!

Here's what we've got planned...

The Lovely Brothers
Your hosts for the evening are a dysfunctional family of cabaret punk idiots, loosely corralled into the shape of a musical act. Watch in horror as satirical and ridiculous tirades tumble forth from their gurning, masked mouths. Austerity hasn't gone away and nor have they.

Chris Parkinson
Surreal award-winning poet and prankster who inadvertently inspired a Hollywood film about a walrus. He was a star of the Poets Vs MCs spoken word battle and also leads the campaign against cruel horse sports in Brunswick Square.

Noisferatu
The Masked Radish Shamen Noisferatu have been spreading Thee Word Ov Thee Radish via Radish Rituals since 2013. Each Radish Ritual is individually curated by Thee Radish For Thee Radish All Hail Thee Radish!

There will also be tinsel.
