The first major Chapel concert of the Spring term promises to be one of great variety and talent. Drawing on music by composers from the beginning of the alphabet, our 'Orchestral ABC' promises a programme of music which showcases the versatility of both music and our musicians. Highlights will include Britten's Simple Symphony as well as selected movements from Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 'Pastoral', beginning the celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth, alongside some of Copland's most popular orchestral music for the ballet.
