Wildfire Sessions Present a night of original alternative/classic rock

STEVIE JONES AND THE WILDFIRES
Following in the footsteps of Steve Earle and The Dukes or Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Stevie Jones and The Wildfires deliver their own unique blend of modern alternative rock centred around powerful acoustic-based songwriting. Originating as a trio with Lou Short and Jake Patrick before expanding to a four piece they have released two studio albums receiving favourable reviews and airplay including BBC Introducing, Planet Rock and BBC Radio Scotland. The debut 'Stratigraphic Heart' was recorded at Parlour Studios in Kettering with acclaimed producers Russ Russell and Neil Haynes and featured Marshall Gill from Blackballed/New Model Army. The follow up 'Angels and Sirens' released in 2018 was produced by Adam Ellis at Deadline Studios, Leicester and featured LA guitarist Janet Robin (String Revolution, Lindsay Buckingham Band) and top Leicester harp player Sean Clutterham. The songs are split between hard-edged guitar based songs and more delicate acoustic arrangements touching tales of everything from archaeology, sex, love, politics and life in the music industry. Live their show is full of energy, edge and passion and they are just as happy in a small club or gracing larger stages. 2019 saw the release of a live EP and a busy gigging schedule which included a well-received slot at HRH Crows Festival at O2 Academy, Sheffield. Plans for 2020 include working on new material for a full band album and a acoustic solo EP.

ALTER THE SKY
Alter the Sky are a 5 piece hard classic rock band from the Cambridgeshire area. Each band member enjoys escaping from their day jobs each evening and weekend to follow their true passion, writing and performing rock music.
The band formed in June 2015, have undergone many line-up changes, which has proved to be a time consuming process alongside maintaining day jobs, family life and other commitments searching for likeminded musicians. All of AtS' members have played on the local gig circuits previously in bands such as Federal Black 40, Inannicus Theory and Friction and have many years' experience between them in playing live shows.
The band set out as a covers band but deep down the majority of the members had a passion for writing their own music, this however, brought along the first line up change as their vocalist at the time could not see himself playing in a band that played original material. The most current line-up has been together since May 2017.
A self titled EP release came out back in May 2016 which the band self produced, but having moved on a long way in the last 2 years, they decided to record a second EP with the new lineup to better showcase themselves. In April / May 2018 AtS went into the studio with producer Dan J Lambert of the Valhalla Music Group to record their new EP 'Fortune Favours the Bold' which is due out in June / July 2018.
The band draw influence from bands such as Black Stone Cherry, Alter Bridge, and the Wildhearts. Their sound is guitar driven and riffy with the odd hook thrown in for good measure. AtS have been fortunate enough to have already played and secured gigs at their home towns most prestigious venues, (The Junction J1, J2 and Cambridge Corn Exchange) as a result of their energetic and humorous live shows. If you like huge sounding guitars and powerful vocals mixed with face gurning guitar solos and energetic live show then Alter the Sky are most definitely the band you will need to come and see.
Alter the Sky have prepared their roller-coaster, why not come along for the ride?
