Holly Penfield launches her new original album Tree Woman
'Lightning will surely strike the stage and no stone left unturned musically or theatrically!'
Dr John
'She is extraordinary. Everything about her - her voice, her persona. A captivating, compelling performer.'
The Scotsman
San Franciscan singer songwriter Holly Penfield releases her original new album 'Tree Woman'. The new album follows her worldwide, billboard charting debut album 'Full Grown Child,' which she recorded in Los Angeles with renowned record producers Mike Chapman and Nicky Chinn (Blondie, Suzi Quatro, Sweet, The Knack).
Holly says of her new album Tree Woman:
'With my songs, I am interested in exploring lyrically and musically the human condition especially from the woman's point of view. The heart and soul of the new album is all about a woman's journey - emotionally, spiritually, artistically and philosophically. Tree Woman is dedicated to the ever evolving spirit of a woman's (and man's) journey into the core of their being.'
Since her Hollywood recording days Holly has toured the world extensively playing over 3000 concerts in addition to supporting Dr John, John Lee Hooker, Mike Bloomfield, John Mayall, John Mellencamp, Taj Mahal and Jean-Luc Ponty. Holly has sung for Prince Charles and Princess Diana and was on stage with Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards.
Holly's line up will include Ian Ritchie (Roger Waters' saxophonist) in a rare appearance on bass, harmonica and backing vocals. Accompanying Holly on keys is John Thomas, Jack Thomas on drums and Ian Salmon on guitar.

The most celebrated live music venue in Europe and one of the most famous in the world. Our longevity is due to an open minded music policy which has seen many different musical styles performed at this venue over It's long history.
Live music began at 100 Oxford Street on 24th October 1942. It was first played at Mack's restaurant (as it was then known) when British jazz drummer Victor Feldman's father hired the venue on a regular Sunday night to showcase the talents of his jazz loving sons and their band. The band consisted of Victor and his two brothers Robert on clarinet and Monty on accordion. They were joined by legendary British saxophonist Jimmy Skidmore for the opening night.
