Take part in a 2-hour family activity session. Help Stick Man get back home to his Stick Lady Love by following our Stick Man Trail, with nature based crafts and storytelling in the woods and plenty of fun along the way. Parts of the session will be outside but we'll also go inside to warm up in our cosy Pavilion.
Sessions are led by Juliette Green, our Education Officer. This is a family learning event with plenty of fun and play along the way. Activities are aimed at children aged 37 years, but tickets for older participating siblings who want to join in, can be bought too (supervised children only; parents/carers are expected to stay and join in, but don't pay.)
Refund policy: Bookings for courses and events are non-refundable unless Martineau Gardens has to cancel an event or course due to unforeseen circumstances.
Each session caters for a maximum of 20 children so advance booking is recommended. You just need to book a ticket for each participating child (not the attending adult nor non-participating youngsters in pushchairs) - space in our Pavilion is limited so we may need to limit numbers inside to one adult per child. Empty prams/pushchairs can be stored inside our hothouse during the indoor parts of the session.
Dress for the weather, as parts of the session will take place outside. The Gardens serves hot and cold drinks (for which donations are welcomed) but not food.
Martineau Gardens is a beautiful therapeutic community garden, a place where people, plants and wildlife meet. Your ticket price contributes to the great things that happen here, and helps to keep Martineau Gardens open, for all to enjoy.
