Barabás Lőrinc Live Act
Trumpet player and producer, Barabás Lőrinc has been a mover and shaker of the improvisational music scene in Budapest. Over the past decade his club events and bands provided fertile ground for kindred spirits experimenting at the crossroads of jazz and electronica. He shared stage with the likes of Thievery Corporation, Bonobo and Erik Truffaz.
His solo project blends dance grooves, meditative moods and all the shades in between. On stage he juggles keyboards, trumpet, effects, laptop and a loop station. These live performance is a journey through unexpected modern tribal landscapes.

Nina Harries
Trained in classical music at the Royal College of
Music, London, Nina Harries is
a soloist who uses only her double bass and
renowned singing voice to create ground-breaking
performances.
Her original songs take influence from cabaret,
Bjork, Mogwai, opera, Andrew Bird, Mitski and
Joanna Newsom, and her work unapologetically
dismantles worldwide preconceptions about the
double bass as an instrument, the roles of women
in performance and the idea of what a modern
musician should be.
In 2017 she was awarded a grant by PRS Women
Make Music Fund to record her debut album,
which will be released later on in 2018.
Along with breaking new
ground with her instrument
Nina is also a feminist writer
and comedian, incorporating
this into her performances.
In 2017 Nina joined the
Akram Khan Company, to
perform as Double Bassist and
Vocalist in Akram Khan's
critically acclaimed final solo
performance, XENOS, which is
touring internationally for 2018
and 2019.
