On 18 April, the Darius Brubeck Quartet plays a fundraising concert for the National Jazz Archive. It celebrates the music of Darius' father, Dave Brubeck, in particular, the 60th anniversary of Dave Brubeck's Time Out, one of the greatest jazz albums of all time and the first to sell a million copies, and including the iconic 'Take Five'. The Quartet also present their latest album Live in Poland, in which Darius retraced his father's 1958 tour in the former Communist country, featuring compositions by Dave Brubeck, Paul Desmond, Hugh Masekela and Darius himself.
Playing with Darius will be Brandon Allen on tenor sax, Matt Ridley on bass and Wesley Gibbens on drums.
