Join Jim Dixon of on-site shop, Countryside Books, for a brief history of libraries and particularly libraries in country houses. Find out what the significance was of the Gentleman's Library. Not only was it a place for gentlemen to retire to after dinner but also held a wealth of useful information. What were gentlemen of the time reading? Take a look at some of the books which were published during Arkwright's time.
