PerKelt, the Pagan Speed Folk band is presenting the new enhanced line-up. Friday 13th to celebrate all the mystical in their crazy and joyful way...
All the happy faces on the last gig would claim would claim there was nothing to improve, yet we decided to prove them (kindly) wrong! The well known, PerKelt typical guitar and drums fuelled engine is being enhanced by the deepest vibrations of our very own Australian didgeridoo player Jay Fraser, to provide a proper counterpoint to the crazy fiddler Duncan and arguably the swiftest recorder player Paya Lehane. Come all down and enjoy the pagan speed folk extravaganza...
PerKelt is a Pagan Speed Folk band based in London, UK. The crazily fast, complicated, yet powerful rhythms and melodies became their trademark over the years of touring festivals in the UK and Europe. In the balance between the brainy and the straightforward, PerKelt music blends together the sound of tribal drums, haunting vocals and the unrivalled duels of flute and fiddle. Wrapped together in pagan poetry and strong message of freedom and joy, PerKelt is a band firmly rooted in their skills and talent, yet elusively beyond physical limits
With four critically acclaimed albums released to date, various awards received from the music industry, hundreds of performances all over the Europe, and countless dedicated fans all over the World, PerKelt are:
Paya Lehane: recorders, vocals, percussion
