Join Doreen Buxton, one of the authors of the new history book, 'Matlock Bath A Perfectly Romantic Place' for a gentle circular walk from Cromford Mills to Matlock Bath and back again, to take a look at some of the features important in its history as a spa, as a tripper's paradise and as a significant player in the industrial history of the Derwent Valley.

Route out via the A6; back, along the river through the Willersley Estate.

The paths can also be muddy and slippery after wet weather. To navigate the terrain please wear suitable clothing / footwear.

Meet outside the Mill Shop at Cromford Mills for the start of the walk.
