Guitarist/composer//bandleader James Maltby, who has played two superb shows for the Jazz Centre with his seven-piece Elephant Talk, now brings his new St Barbe Trio to the venue. James, bass guitarist Edwin Ireland and drummer Floyer Sydenham play fresh, innovative material, balancing extended improvisation with intricate trio arrangements that draw on jazz, rock and hip hop.
