Roz Firth
Roz Firth is a percussive fingerstyle guitarist, pianist and singer-songwriter. Using all parts of her acoustic guitar, she's able to produce intricate rhythms and bass lines to simultaneously compliment her fast finger-picking and soft, raspy vocals. Roz often integrates her exciting techniques with the use of a loop pedal and is known for layering up percussive guitar beats and creative vocal harmonies, to create a distinctive sound for her original songs. Consequently, her YouTube channel has attracted over 21,000 subscribers, with over 3 million views.
Joe Hicks
Newbury Singer-Songwriter Joe Hicks blends pop, blues and folk influences, combining intricate guitar composition with classic pop song-craft. Having made a name for himself as a session guitarist, Hicks released his first solo single at the start of 2017 following a soul searching writing trip to a secluded Cornish Airbnb garage with no internet or phone signal. Since then Joe has racked up over 1 Million digital streams, was made 'BBC Introducing Artist of the Week' across the U.K Radio, has toured the UK, Spain and Germany including a slot supporting BRIT award winner Sam Fender in Oxford and played over 25 Sofar Sounds shows.
Ma Polaine's Great Decline
Ma Polaine's Great Decline is the duo of Beth Packer (vocals, harmonica, double bass, accordion) and Clinton Hough (electric and acoustic guitar). Influenced by blues, jazz and folk but hard to pigeon-hole, they have been described as like a young Billie Holiday gate-crashing a Tom Waits Swordfishtrombones recording session. Original writing is the focus, with oddness, sparsity and a subtle quality that is their own. There is a freedom for Packer to explore her vocal qualities and lyric writing, creating tales of haunting beauty, veiled sorrow, and a darker image of happiness.
