IMPORTANT: Please book for everyone who wishes to sit together in a bubble using the same booking. If you need to add others to the same group later, the same person should make the booking. For groups larger than 1 or 2, we will reserve seating in a group of up to six people, according to the name of the person who books the tickets. The Invisible Opera Company of Tibet is a deepspace funk-punk psychedelic rock band infused with a hint of jazz and a twist of gnome.

Founded by legendary frontman to Gong, Daevid Allen, and guitarist Brian Abbott in 1992, the band has toured the UK with Daevid Allen and Ruz Hibbs (of the Australian Invisible Opera Company of Tibet) and appeared at many festivals over the years.

The latest studio album Songs From the Temple of Now features both Daevid Allen and the God of Hellfire himself, Arthur Brown!

Live, the band plays original material addressing the Tibetan situation, future politics, deep inner space, the nature of things and a few classic Gong and Daevid Allen favorites. Sonic transmisions from Radio Gnome guarantees a heart opening, mind expanding and a vibey uplifting experience!

This gig is happening under the restrictions imposed as a result of the current pandemic to be a ?covid secure? venue, as they apply at the time, and as decided by Ashburton Arts Centre.
This means that the audience is limited and will be seated and socially distanced. Face masks should be worn, unless exempted, at all times except when drinking. We expect to have volunteers taking orders for the bar from people at their seats.
