Ranagri is a contemporary folk band of four musicians (Dónal Rogers, Ellie Turner, Eliza Marshall, Joe Danks) who have come together to create some exciting new music. Consisting of flutes; Irish whistles; electric harp; bodhran; guitar; bouzouki and voices, Ranagri fuse celtic folk music with quality contemporary songwriting, enhanced by virtuosic instrumentals, vibrant rhythms and haunting melodies, all interlaced with vivid storytelling.

This will be the final date in their tour promoting their new album Tradition II.

Support is from special guests Plumhall who are Michelle Plum and Nick B Hall, an electrifying duo from Yorkshire whose award winning original songs are earning them well deserved plaudits from the likes of Miles Hunt (The Wonder Stuff), Phil Beer and Steve Knightley (Show of Hands), R2 Magazine and many more. PLUMHALL pack a punch with powerful acoustic (occasional electric) guitar and luscious harmony-driven textures of original contemporary folk rock.

Description

Harwell Village Hall was opened in the 1930s and since then has been a well-used social centre for the village and surrounding areas.

The hall is the focus of many groups from the village and the surrounding area who meet weekly or monthly in either the Orchard or Cherry Hall for a variety of pursuits including fitness and dance for both young and old, Arts and Crafts, Woodturners, Harwell WI, Short Mat Bowls, various clubs for toddlers and young children such as Fun Club, our youth theatre group Gobo Theatre and the Harwell Parish History Group. It is also the local Polling Station and the Parish Council have an office by the foyer entrance.
