Description

Join ?She Ain?t No Diva? for their first night at The Brunswick on the ?8th July? with four of the newest up and coming talents located in the Brighton and Hove Area. ?She Ain?t No Diva?, is here to help females break into the music industry as they release their debut Singles and EP?s.

With music coming from the talented Emily- Rose, Sadie Horler, Rosie Louise and Amy Lauren. This will be the first time for some of the girls sharing the original music and performing to an audience. Come along and show your support to these talented ladies.

Emily-Rose
Fresh out of lockdown and new to Brighton?s circuit, Emily-Rose is quickly becoming a big name on the south coast's music scene. Inspired heavily by R&B, her voice gives her acoustic music a soulful twist, as you can hear from both her originals and covers. Some notable venues that she's played are Winchester Guildhall, O2 Southampton Guildhall & Ronnie Scott's but even the most intimate performances are big steps on her journey.

Sadie Horler
With her latest single 'Lighting Gas' reaching no.7 in the iTunes singer/songwriter charts as well her single 'Washed Up Mermaid' being chosen as a Fresh Fave on Radio 6's Fresh On The Net, Sadie Horler performs with warmth and authenticity, captivating her audience with her engaging but unaffected presence. Her heartfelt lyrics are inspired by events and people around her with every song telling a compelling story you do not want to miss. BBC Introducing have described Sadie as ?Phenomenal? & "One of the finest young female musicians they have discovered?.

Rosie Louise
Brighton Born and Bred singer Rosie Louise released her first single back in December 2020, with ?Back Up Plan?, having a good response in the local area she went on to release her second single ?Constantly Changing?. Her songs are written from past experiences of love and heartbreak as she feels they connect with her audience and speak truth. Being involved in the production of her music has always been very important as she has taken pride in co-producing and mixing her songs. Her love for Soul music and soulful voice runs through her music, with hints of other genres such as Jazz, RnB and Reggae. Looking forward to seeing what?s next.

Amy Lauren
Amy Lauren is a self taught singer, songwriter and producer born and raised in Brighton. Her up beat, dark and at times haunting sound, sets her apart from the crowd. Amy tells us her main musical influences growing up included grime, dubstep, garage, gothic rock, Motown and many more. Amy Infuses sweet melodies with sour lyrics, cryptically telling intimate and personal stories over beats that are guaranteed to get you on your feet.

Amy Laurens debut EP ?Whisky Kisses? is due to be released this Summer on all streaming platforms.

The Brunswick Profile Pic

Description

The Brunswick has been transformed through an extensive refurbishment programme to become the premier music and arts venue in Hove. The owners are committed to providing quality, value for money and a friendly atmosphere. We believe that a pub is an essential part of any thriving community, and should be seen as a facility for the whole community. By encouraging local groups, we run a range of classes: acting, singing, painting, language, wine tasting; and have become a meeting place for a number of groups. With a large garden and a number of meeting rooms, we can offer space for most clubs, societies or social groups. If your looking for somewhere to host your book group, yoga class, dance class, debating club, and so on, give us a call, or better still, pop in. Support your local pub.

Built in the 1930’s, The Brunswick is a striking building with curved bays, turret roofs and brass crittall style windows. Much of the original paneling (the same as used in the Orient Express) has been rescued and restored, particularly in The Venue. Atmosphere and mood change as you move from the beautifully constructed sunny garden through the airy garden room to the bar (a fusion of the best of modern bar and traditional pub). Despite the high-tech sound and stage equipment, the music and arts Venue with its wood paneling, period lighting and fireplace retains a wonderfully cozy feel. Upstairs we have beautifully decorated rooms for meetings and private parties – see Function Room Hire

We offer a broad range of home cooked food every day. Accolades have included “Restaurant quality food at pub prices”; “The best Sunday Lunch in Brighton”; “As an American, I’m very critical of hamburgers – this is one of the best I’ve had anywhere.”
