M G Boulter is a singer, songwriter and musician living on the south Essex coast. His narrative lyrical style has been described as ?gorgeous, in a word? by Uncut Magazine. Over the years he has been a key collaborator with a range of acts including Emily Portman and Blue Rose Code and was an integral member of US artists The Duke and the King and the Simone Felice Band.
In 2016 he released ?With Wolves the Lamb will Lie? which came highly recommended by The Independent on Sunday and made the ?Best Folk Albums of the Year? list in the Daily Telegraph.
Working with Sheffield label Hudson Records M G released the ?Blood Moon EP? with Birmingham quartet, The Froe, in 2018 and his new album ?Clifftown? in April 2021, which is a themed record on his hometown of Southend-on-Sea.

By day our Cafe serves delicious home-cooked food, Fairly Traded coffee & tea and homemade cakes & pastries. All with a nod to local and ethical sourcing. We cater for Vegetarians, Vegans and dietary issues, just ask if you need anything not catered for on our menus. We also have a Delicatessen serving our own home-cooked food daily.
On Sunday to Thursday evenings we host the best acoustic music in the City, specialising in Folk, Roots and Americana.
On Friday and Saturday evenings the Cafe is available for private functions, weddings and parties, please call or email for more details.
