Come to celebrate 25 years of beautiful music from Vivant with us. Mark and Clive first met at the Vaults session in Stony back in 1996. As Vivant they have recorded 2 acclaimed albums and delighted numerous audiences with their performances, presenting their unique blend of acoustic violin and melodeon.
Vivant are a violin and melodeon duo formed by Mark Prescott and Clive Williams. Together they have developed their own style creating a unique ambiance of interwoven harmonies and beautiful arrangements.
This will be an indoor concert, in covid-safe environment in the heart of Stony Stratford in the community hub of York House.
Mark and Clive met in the famous Vaults session in 1996 and so are delighted to be playing back home for this milestone performance marking 25 years of shared music.
As Vivant they have brought their own interpretation to some well known, some not so well known, some classic and original material Their music fuses a variety of influences and gives and beautiful and timeless quality that remains with you long after you have finished listening.
Swirling waltzes and mazurkas of Central France sweep you off your feet with their charm then the touching yet simple melodies of English songs and hymns transport you to another time and place.
