terrace cred. (with the unparalleled aid of The Long Haul) presents:
The long awaited, twice delayed arrival of the third album by The Long Haul is celebrated with an album launch date in their hometown.
Their mix of classic Country with a distinctive Western Swing is all part of this Brighton band's approach to 'Americana'.
Simon, Francois, Duncan, James and Scott have used the enforced extra time to hone the writing and recording. They have produced 11 original songs on '21st Century Blues', which combines the timeless sound of pedal-steel guitar, Fender Telecaster and upright bass with a sharp lyrical take on different aspects of life in the 21st century. They've got a video, recently filmed at legendary BBC presenter Bob Harris?s Under the Apple Tree studio to accompany the release.
The price of admission includes not only guaranteed great live music but you get to go home with the new CD on the night, as a copy is included with each ticket. There's a definite buzz about this release - be amongst the first to own a slice.
?Top-notch songwriting and superb playing. This is high-quality modern-day country? American Roots UK
'There's a stellar, retro dance-hall feel to the Long Haul ? fabulous, catchy Americana? Three Chords and the Truth
Opening tonight is Shauna Parker, no stranger to those who support the local Country / Roots / Americana scene, with a keen choice of repertoire from favoured Canadians, Patsy Cline through Carole King and some fine self-written songs. A firm terrace cred. favourite, whether solo or with her Saloon Bar Band. Y'never know, one or two of 'em might just join her for a number or three.
