On the last Monday of every month we feature artists based in the South West from the bluesier end of the musical spectrum. Contact organiser Mary Caffery (mary.caffrey49@gmail.com) if you're interested in playing or being part of the jam. For September's session we have:

Railroad
Ray Kemp just can't resist the blues. He has been playing and singing for more years than he cares to remember. In the 1970s he toured Europe with many of the big names in the rock world. He was a founder member of The Travelling Bluesburys ? see video here.

He's now settled in East Devon and plays his own brand of blues now with RAILROAD, a new incarnation, which attempts to infuse traditional blues with a jazz feel.


Lee Hall
A singer/songwriter in the Mississippi Delta style, the blues flows from his soul. As he says "Bang a guitar and a microphone in his hands and I am a happy man" Playing authentic, infectious and rhythmic Delta blues, from the era of one man and a guitar

Description

Ashburton Arts Centre is a community-owned and run place where the arts of all kinds happen.
