MUSIC COMPOSING FOR ANIMATION WITH MICK COOKE

In this practical workshop musician and composer Mick Cooke will work with participants as they explore a real industry music brief before giving the group a backing track and challenging the collective to write lyrics for an original theme song.

Mick Cooke is a BAFTA-winning composer and songwriter who was a member of BRIT Award winning indie rock band, Belle & Sebastian, for fifteen years. Since leaving the band in 2013, Mick has found success as a composer for children?s animated TV content, with credits including Elmo Gets A Puppy (Sesame Workshop), Zack & Quack (Nick Jr.) and Bitz & Bob (BBC).

Please Note: Tickets are required for all young people wishing to participate in this workshop.

This Workshop is for Young People Aged Between 16-25.

Workshop Duration: 2.5 hrs.

Workshop Location: Ulster Museum (Learning Zone).

The capacity of the workshop space will be limited due to government guidance on social distancing.

Please give surname of person who booked the tickets to Cinemagic staff on arrival.

Ticket holders will enter the museum through the main front doors. Exit will be at the Stranmillis Rd side of the building.
