With his first two singles releasing in late 2021 to warm critical acclaim, Craig Gould has been heralded as "One to Watch" (MusicNewsMonthly) in 2022 alongside artists such as BRIT award winning Holly Humberstone. Embarking on his first UK tour, Craig brings his home-leg show to the Kitchen Garden. Don't miss this opportunity to catch one of the UK Folk/Americana scenes hottest new prospects performing songs from his new debut album release.
"Is this lyricaly the new Leonard Cohen of the UK music scene? I think so..." (Nexus Music Blog).
"Amazingly good, powerful songs, with lush arrangements. Make a note of the name" (Folking.com)
"One of the most powerful voices I've ever heard live. His songs entwine with the audience" (Mark Chadwick, Levellers).
2021 saw Craig's stock rise rapidly with the release of his debut single 'Ain't No Place to Hide' receiving support from numerous BBC Radio shows, and being chosen as "Single of the Week" by both the BCMA and BBC Radio Kent. The single, seeing Craig receive comparisons with music royalty such as Fleetwod Mac, Cat Stevens & Bob Dylan, debuted at #2 in the iTunes UK Country Chart. His second single, 'Captain of the Seas' was once again chosen as "Single of the Week" by BBC Radio Kent, as well as being nominated as "Single of the Year" - eventually losing out to the force that is Sam Fender. It was also this single that gave Craig his first #1, taking the top spot in the Amazon UK Hot New Release Folk Chart, adding to the #4 position it reached in the iTunes UK Singer/Songwriter chart.
"A joyful, flawless debut single" (IndieMusicCentre).
With the momentum building and his reputation blossoming, Craig's crowdfunded debut album, released summer 2022, is meeting with growing excitement and anticipation. Produced by the multi-talented Miles Myerscough-Harris (Under the Apple Tree) and featuring artists such as Anna Corcoran (AMA UK Instrumentalist of the year 2021) and BL?NID (Radio 1, BBC R6), this year promises to be a breakthrough year for Craig and his celebrated song writing.
"Unique, genuine & innovative" (TheOtherSideReviews)
