It's here! Slow Down, Molasses are coming to the UK to support their new album out on Divine Schism, Minor Deaths.
Confronting bristling anxious energy with highly-pronounced pop edges, Slow Down Molasses of Saskatoon, Sask. Canada have never been shy about traversing shifting sonic territories. In their latest iteration, the four-piece plunge deep into delay trails and feedback decay with a sound steeped in existential dread and simmering guitar rock post-punk sunshine. Slow Down Molasses have emerged with easily their most concise and devastating work yet, their new LP Minor Deaths. A suite of nine songs that make controlled swerves into melodic indie rock landscapes while paying homage to the tightly-wound nervousness of post-punk unease.
Out via Divine Schism (UK) and Noyes Records (North America), the band come to the UK for a run of shows for the first time since 2016 when they last played End of the Road festival.

Really excited to have Savage Mansion in town too. The band is a vehicle for the songs of Perth-raised singer and guitarist Craig Angus, elsewhere featuring a revolving cast of musicians including Andrew Macpherson and Jamie Dubber (Catholic Action), Lewis Orr (Martha Ffion, Space Rocket Garage Band) and Beth Chalmers (Martha Ffion, Molly Linen). Quickly drawing attention for a high energy live show and Craig?s melodic and eloquent slices of guitar rock, the band were invited to open for Frightened Rabbit at Glasgow?s Barrowland Ballroom and drew the attention of Johnny Lynch (Pictish Trail) who offered to release the ?Do You Say Hello To Your Neighbours?? single on Lost Map. This February Savage Mansion release thier new album ?Golden Mountain, Here I Come?, solidifying their reputation as one of the UK?s most prolific emerging guitar bands, and as a hardworking collective drawing from a diverse palette of musical and literary influences. Re-emerging as a five-piece, they?re back with a record that?s hook-laden, poignant, and cryptic. It?s indie rock that?s both an instant feast for the senses and a rich tapestry of sounds and words to pore over and savour.
