Lou Sanders headlines this month, with Susan Riddell and Alex Kitson (MC)
Lou Sanders is one of Britain?s most original comedians. She is the champion of series eight of Taskmaster (DAVE), co-hosts Mel Giedroyc?s Unforgivable (DAVE) and other recent television appearances include The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS), Live at the Apollo (BBC), QI (BBC2), Travel Man: 48 Hours in? (Channel 4), Would I Lie to You? (C4), 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4).
After winning a place in BBC Writer?s Room Fast and Funny, Susan Riddell went on to write, create and star in several on-line comedy sketches for BBC Short Stuff which have garnered nearly 3 million views and counting. Susan recently performed stand up at the Edinburgh Fringe in both CKP?s Lunchtime Special and the BBC Presents Comedy Tent. She also wrote a humorous weekly column for The Daily Record newspaper for around two years.
Alex Kitson is an ?on the money funny? award-winning stand-up comedian, performer and writer. New on the comedy scene in 2018 he has performed across the UK, written for both the BBC (?Incredible? So clever? ? BBC Radio Bristol) and online content with millions of views. He reached the final of First Laugh 2020, New UK Online Comedian of the Year 2020, and the top 12 of Jason Manford?s New Act Competition in 2019. He also performed in two five star runs at the Edinburgh Fringe with the Bristol Revunions (?The entire ensemble is hilarious. Properly, effortlessly, hilarious? ? EdFringe Review). In 2021 after the pandemic he took his first hour of stand-up around the country to critical acclaim in Southampton, Brighton, Exeter, Bath and Bristol. Culminating in a sell-out show in Bristol and winning the Bath Comedy Festival Award for Best Joke 2021. He also hosts and runs ?This Next Act? a series of weekly comedy nights in Central Bristol, and is the resident MC of several other comedy clubs and nights around the South West.
