Clark will be choosing compositions of Stan to play from the vast library of consistently brilliant work throughout a professional career of more than six decades

The band consists of Stan's go to players . Clark was the main drummer for Stan from the early 80s , Andrew Cleyndert was Stan's bassist from the mid 90s and Simon Allen featured on Stan's final two quartet recordings

Simon Allen , as well as being a mainstay in many of Clark's quintets ,  was featured in the late Stan Tracey various groups between 2008-2013 Simon, and was featured on his final two quartet recordings, as well as octet and big band album releases.

Andrew Cleyndert was Stan's main bass player from the mid 90s. He was born in Birmingham in 1963. Andrew took up the double bass at school and turned professional on leaving in 1981. His first professional experience was as resident bassist at the George Chisolm Club in Manchester, where he backed visiting jazz soloists including Americans such as Art Farmer and Joe Newman.

He moved to London in 1982 and, naturally associating with other rising young stars, he worked with Clark Tracey and Iain Ballamy and was briefly with NYJO.

Andrew quickly established himself as a highly versatile player capable of working in a wide variety of situations. Early tours included working with bands led by saxophonists Bobby Wellins, Don Weller and Bobby Watson, and trumpeters Ted Curson and Red Rodney. He also began working with a string of visiting soloists including Bud Shank, George Coleman, Ray Bryant, John Hicks and Lee Konitz to name but a few as well as working with the cream of London based musicians including broadcasting with the Kenny Wheeler Big Band.

Taking a couple of years out to complete a Degree in Maths and Psychology, Andrew returned to the jazz scene to become a member of the Ronnie Scott Sextet and Quartet, with which he toured the Caribbean, the Middle East and Europe as well as working at Ronnie Scott?s Club itself.

Andrew also toured Britain and Europe with the Gene Harris Quartet and worked regularly with the singer Annie Ross. He was also a member of the Bryan Spring Trio, Alan Barnes Quartet and the Don Weller Quartet, and has also worked and recorded with Stacey Kent.

Stan's place at the piano stool is taken by Bruce Boardman. Bruce studied piano at London's Royal Academy of Music. He worked regularly in the nineteen-seventies and eighties with performers such as Terry Lighfoot, George Melly and Val Doonican. From the mid-nineteen-eighties, led a band which often accompanied guest artists such as Barney Kessel, Herb Ellis, Charlie Byrd, Jim Mullen, Tal Farlow, Barbara Thompson, Ronnie Scott, George Chisholm, Harry ?Sweets? Edison, Al Grey, Red Rodney, Jean Toussaint, Georgie Fame, Norma Winstone, Roy Castle, Harry Beckett, Dick Heckstall-Smith, broadcaster Benny Green etc. For around twenty years the band performed regularly throughout the U.K. and abroad. Nowadays works with a variety of musicians including bassist Ruth Bitelli, her brother, tenor saxist David Bitelli, singer Laoise Davidson, clarinetist Martin Nickless etc. and performs as a solo pianist, usually playing jazz but sometimes classical repertoire. Also plays organ and harpsichord.
