John J. Williamson's first originals project as a leader brings together influences as diverse as Lee Konitz, Paul Motion, and Béla Fleck, anchored by a keen melodic instinct.
John's writing ranges from angular, Neo-Tristano treatments of songbook harmony to big-sky Americana influenced by his time in the US. A selection of standards completes and intimate expressive show.
