Welcome to my house.
Come in.
Get comfy & have a brew.
This is the place where I look back on my life, work, family, loves, successes and failures and can assess them fairly, evenly, and with a great sense of adult proportion.
Or.....
Where I can just address all of them through the medium of silly songs created and produced by me and my trusty ukulele!
Songs about works dos, babies, next door neighbours, children, cake, and all the things that annoy me.
"It's not You-kulele, it's me..." is a new show with brand new songs brought to the public for the first time at Nottingham Comedy Festival.
The Edi Johnston Bit is an award winning musical comedy songwriter from Nottingham who has shared his songs on stages throughout the Midlands since just before 2020.
He plays songs on his ukulele influenced by a childhood watching Morecambe and Wise, Victoria Wood and Bill Bailey and sings about the trials and tribulations of a middle aged, middle class, ginger, tea drinking, comfortable shoe wearing rapper and singer.
He has appeared on Channel 5 and BBC Radio as well as gigging up and down the country. He has supported Mr. B the Gentleman Rhymer and Harry & Chris as well as appearing alongside Scott Bennett, Jo Enright and Tom Binns.
