Thinking Thursdays Talk: Richard Cockle Lucas The Sculptor Who Believed In Fairies Event Title Pic

Description

Thinking Thursdays is a new weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different!

Talk at Tudor House by Jo Wren, historian and Archives Assistant at Southampton Cultural Services. Richard Cockle Lucas is famous as the sculptor who created the Flora Bust which convinced many that it was a DaVinci. He was known as a more ?colourful character? around the town of Southampton and this talk takes a look at this and tries to separate ?myth from reality?.

This talk will take place in the Georgian Room at Tudor House and includes admission to the museum. The expected duration is 1 hour and 15 minutes (ending at 12.15pm).

In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
