Ever wondered how a symphony actually works? Do you find your mind wandering while listening to Classical music? How does Classical music contribute to our wellbeing?
In his talk at Ashburton Arts Centre this Sunday, 6th November, Richard Gonski will address all these issues as well as helping you develop a deeper appreciation of the Classical repertoire.
Using musical examples from Gregorian Chant through to the present day, Richard will identify the building blocks and landmarks that will help you follow a musical narrative and enjoy a more immersive listening experience.
Richard is a conductor, composer and educator: he is Music Director of Torbay Symphony Orchestra, Director of SaMM, the Saturday Morning Music School in Totnes and the founder of Thinking Arts, an online music appreciation and learning resource.
