Rod Picott is an ace storyteller. His songs are expertly crafted living creations, filled with marks of the human condition. He is one of our too little known songwriting treasures and has written some of the most memorable songs of the last two decades. He has written many songs with his friend Slaid Cleaves, and together they won Song of the Year at the Austin Music Awards for 'Broke Down'
A former sheet rock hanger, he traded his trowel for a guitar in 1999 and has never looked in his rear view mirror. He has released 15 albums in that time and at the age of 58 his engine is still running strong.
