Bassist, band leader, and co-founder of Tomorrow?s Warriors, Gary Crosby OBE leads his quartet to East Side Jazz Club.

Leader of the acclaimed Gary Crosby?s Nu Troop and founder of the mighty Jazz Jamaica and Nu Civilisation Orchestra, Gary?s impact and influence on the UK jazz scene spans four decades.

Through Tomorrow?s Warriors, Gary has been at the heart of the recent British jazz explosion, nurturing young musical talent and increasing opportunity, diversity, and excellence in and through jazz. He is also the artistic director of the acclaimed Nu Civilisation Orchestra and, in 2018, became the 14th recipient of the prestigious Queen?s Medal for Music ? the first person of colour and first non-classical musician ever to receive the award.

Gary is joined by Aleksandra Topczewska (saxophone), Sultan Stevenson (piano), and Eddie Hicks (drums).

Aleksandra Topczewska (saxophone) has played with Gary Crosby?s Nu Troop, Zoe Rahman?s ?Inner Ensemble? project, collaborates with Chineke Orchestra and has shared the stage with Dennis Baptiste, Ursula Dudziak, Julian Joseph, Myrna Hague, Dennis Rollins and many others.

Sultan Stevenson (piano) is one of the fastest emerging young artists on the London jazz scene. His trio is already established as an outfit to catch when billed to play live and is being tipped for success on national and international stages. He is releasing his much-anticipated debut album 'Faithful One' on Whirlwind Recordings in March of 2023.

Eddie Hick (drums) has been a key figure on London?s jazz scene, drumming with the likes of Nubya Garcia, Gilad Atzmon and Sons of Kemet, leading the Steam Down sessions in Deptford under the moniker Nache, and playing sessions with everyone from Mark Ronson to Florence and the Machine.
