Trumpeter Steve Fishwick's latest project explores nonet music from McCoy Tyner's seminal and underated album Tender Moments, featuring the lush sonorities of tuba and french horn within the instrumentation (still unusual and rarely used within a jazz ensemble). The programme will also feature original music by Steve, inspired by this rich tradition of the nonet in jazz music. Expect high energy swing, beautiful ballads, and exciting playing from some of London's very best jazz musicians.
