THERE IS A CHOICE OF TICKET TYPES THIS YEAR AND ALSO AN OPTION TO DONATE AN ADDITIONAL £5 AND BECOME A ?FRIEND OF STONY LANTERNS 2023?, PLEASE CHOOSE THE CORRECT TYPE/S AS THEY ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE:
IMPORTANT - when you receive your confirmation email from WeGotTickets, please forward it to stonylanterns@gmail.com with your name, phone number and email address so that we can contact you in case of any last-minute changes to the arrangements.
This year you can EITHER choose to make your lantern/s at the York House Sessions OR you can buy a Lantern Kit to make your lantern/s at home. All lantern-makers are welcome to join the procession on Saturday 02 December.
There will also be after school frame-making sessions for the families of children attending Russell Street School and SMSG North. Look out for a letter in your child's book bag with a unique link to book lanterns for a school session (you will also need to attend a public session at York House to paper your lantern).
York House Workshops ? this allows you to attend any of the York House sessions which are 10am til 4pm on Sat 18 & Sun 19 Nov and Sat 25 and Sun 26 Nov, you will be able to use a candle to light your lantern (but you can bring your own battery fairy lights if you prefer), lanterns are stored at York House ready for collection from 3.15pm on Switch-On Day (Saturday 02 December).
Lantern Kits ? for those who prefer to make their lantern/s at home. Lantern Kits include full instructions and materials plus a bamboo cane and fixings so that you can bring your lantern along to the Lantern Procession on Saturday 02 December. You will need to add your own battery-powered fairy lights or a torch as candles are not allowed in made-at-home lanterns for safety reasons. You will need to collect your lantern kit/s at one of our designated collection sessions which are 4pm til 5pm on Sunday 05 November (main hall), 6pm til 7pm on Wednesday 08 November (front car park) and 2pm til 4pm on Sunday 12 November (main hall).
Friends of Stony Lanterns ? as the cost-of-living crisis continues, we realise that some families are struggling financially and may not be able to take part in the project. If you feel able to, please donate an additional £5.00 by adding the ?Friends of Stony Lanterns 2023 ? Optional Additional Donation? ticket type to your basket before you head to the checkout. Donations will be used to provide free lantern making spaces or lantern kits to families in need and also help fund future Lantern Projects.
