Join us in this evocative programme.
Beethoven was a very revolutionary composer and that he should write music and an overture to the story or the heroic Egmont who died for the independence of the Netherlands is most appropriate.
Prokofiev's 2nd violin concert is based on the ballet Romeo and Juliet which equally should so much heroism of their sacrifice because of their unaccepted love.
Beethoven's 1st symphony is full or wit a provocativeness.
Malcolm Allison, a very special violinist with a deep expressiveness joins us on Beethoven's Romance.
We also are excited to give 9 year old Apollo Premadasa the opportunity to conduct Beethoven's Egmont overture. Apollo is a young composer, cellist, trombonist, percussionist and double bass players who will be doing his conducting debut.
I Maestri provide exactly this kind of opportunity for young as well as other musicians to have platform and I hope you will come to support us!
