Description

In the quiet, pretty little village of Roper?s End, a bomb explodes, seriously maiming Simon Garraway who, after a long period of recovery, insists that the bomb was not intended for him. But how does he know this?

The question is, if the bomb was not meant for him, who was it meant for? Who sent it? And who would hate someone sufficiently in order to blow him or her up?
