On 23rd January 2024 I was diagnosed as being neurodivergent which was kind of a surprise to me, funny enough not to anyone that knows me. Although surprising this pretty much answered my full life and why I am the way I am. So come join me in a show where I?ll give you a 1st hand insight from my delusional eyes to what goes on in my ever expanding mind with stories of how I've manage to survive through a life of total confusement to how and why I now prefer to be alone, mostly!
Strathpeffer Pavilion, a distinguished Highland landmark, maintains its enduring status as a vital cultural and social centre for the village and surrounding region. Commissioned in 1881, this historic building, now under community ownership, continues its legacy as a significant hub for events and gatherings, drawing both local residents and visitors to its grand setting.
Within its walls, a sense of history permeates the air, complemented by the warm glow of wall-mounted uplighters that illuminate the space. The light wood laminate floor and the contrasting dark wood lower walls, topped with a lighter green, contribute to an inviting yet refined atmosphere, where the reverberant acoustics hint at countless past performances and lively conversations.
The Pavilion is set amidst the historic Spa Gardens, with ongoing volunteer efforts dedicated to enhancing these picturesque grounds. Practical considerations are well-addressed, including flat access points through side fire exits, ensuring ease of movement for all. A licensed bar is available, providing refreshments to complement any occasion.
Throughout the year, the venue hosts a varied programme, encompassing live music performances, theatrical productions, conferences, and wedding celebrations. It also serves as a cherished space for numerous community-led activities and festivals, upholding its tradition as a dynamic destination for cultural engagement.
